Emailing Donors and Others: Grab ’Em in Four Seconds
No matter how brilliant paragraphs two to 15 of your email message may be, you won’t have a chance to use them to build your relationship with stakeholders unless you grab your reader’s attention -- in the first four seconds. Learn how to get your emails opened and read.
What to do Before Calling Tech Support
Ever feel frustrated at a computer error, but are self-conscious and uncertain when to call tech support? Arthur Prokosch, systems administrator and tech support veteran, outlines the basic ground rules to help both you and IT maintain productivity.
New TSNE Training Series: Registration Open
Registration is now open for TSNE’s new Nonprofit Capacity Building Training Series. Beginning this fall, we will offer nine (9) workshops designed to help you make a clearer connection between daily management functions and organizational mission -- and develop systems that support this alignment.

Vlog Update
Several new video FAQs have been filmed for the TSNE vlog project, and will be uploaded throughout August. Check in to view the latest videos featuring Deborah Linnell, director of programs at TSNE, on such topics as theory of change and ongoing learning.
Green News
Earlier this year, the NonProfit Center was awarded the Energy Star. One of only 17 office buildings in Boston to receive this distinction, the center shares ideas about what you can do in the home and the office to help conserve energy and save money.
Software Corner
Sometimes a team conference call just isn’t enough - and these days, it doesn’t have to be. A number of tools, such as TeamViewer, DimDim, Yugma and Acrobat Connect let you display information over the Web. You can show everyone the applications or documents on your computer, interact via text chat, or even video conference, all for free. They might be just the thing for your next team meeting. Visit Idealware to learn more.
Executive Transitions
TSNE’s Executive Transitions Program has open and upcoming searches for several organizations, such as the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition.
Sign up for the Executive Transitions Spotlight to receive advance notice of openings.
Capacity Building Fund Reminder
CBF provides grants to self-defined nonprofit networks in Massachusetts and Rhode Island wishing to learn and build capacity together in order to gain skills necessary to effect change on an issue of shared concern.
Letters of Intent to Plan are due September 10.
