Organization Description

The Network for Public Health Law (The Network), a fiscally sponsored project of TSNE MissionWorks, works to improve America’s health by helping those who grapple with the legal complexities of emergency preparedness, environmental health, health care reform, the use of health data, and the many other pressing challenges of modern public health. The Network strives to build the field of public health law, strengthen the role of law in public health practice, and foster connections among officials, practitioners, attorneys, researchers, advocates, and others committed to improving health.

Position Summary

The Network seeks a Marketing Communications Associate to help us successfully raise our national profile, engage with our key constituents, and expand our reach. The Marketing Communications Associate must be a self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively within project teams, and interact effectively with staff, leadership, vendors, members, and funders. This position is based at the Network’s National Office in Edina, Minnesota and reports to the Marketing and Membership Manager.

Essential Job Functions

Design and Production

  • Design and produce high quality print and digital marketing assets, including newsletters, brochures, emails, infographics, and multimedia features;
  • Support brand application and adherence;
  • Develop product packaging and coordinate distribution.

Website Management

  • Using web content management system to update and post content;
  • Manage blog schedule, coordinate review process, and publish blogs;
  • Develop new features on site to support new products and marketing efforts;
  • Monitor website content to keep up-to-date;
  • Manage technical aspects such as DNS updates;
  • Track metrics and report on performance.

Social Media

  • Create and maintain consistent social media presence on multiple platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn;
  • Manage YouTube channel;
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns to increase engagement and promote products and events;
  • Manage and implement online advertisements, including Google and Facebook ads;
  • Track metrics and report on performance.

Events & Conference Support

  • Manage and run technical aspects of monthly training webinars and train speakers;
  • Produce branded materials including programs, name tags, agenda, and signage;
  • Promote events through selected channels;
  • Conduct on-site communications at events and conferences to include social media.

Special Requirements

  • Ability to travel once or twice a year;
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (occasional).


  • College degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Design, or related field;
  • At least two years of work experience in marketing, communications, advertising, or related field;
  • Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and attention to detail;
  • Strong experience with email, social media, and other online marketing;
  • Strong experience with web publishing and HTML;
  • Tech savvy, some IT knowledge a plus;
  • Experience working within nonprofit organizations, experience and interest in public health a plus.


The salary range for this position is between $40,000-50,000 depending on experience. A generous benefits package is included.
