Training Opportunities
Non-profit managers, staff and board members have always been resourceful. More than any other sector, we’ve been asked to do more with less. Now, as resources become increasingly scarce – and the number of constituents needing our services expands – it is even more important that we have the strong management and leadership skills needed to effectively serve our constituents. Results-Focused Training for Your NonprofitThat’s why Third Sector New England provides the region’s non-profit professionals with a continuum of management and leadership training opportunities. Our training series, workshops and educational events are geared to help non-profit leaders, staff and managers develop the best client-centered programs and services. Our training programs are also designed to help you create the most effective constituent-centered approaches to delivering those programs and services. Capacity Building Training SeriesOur Capacity Building Training Series offers 9 monthly workshops at the TSNE training center in downtown Boston to help you sharpen general management skills from fundraising to financial management to strategic thinking. Bottom Line Training SeriesTSNE also offers the free Bottom Line Training Series, with in-person workshops and webinars that offer the type information from fund development to ideas for sharing services that can help nonprofits sustain themselves through these challenging times. Conferences and Educational ProgramsThird Sector New England has a long history of working with our constituents to provide training, technical assistance and peer learning, including bringing the Nonprofit Workout conference to the region for two decades. Thousands of non-profit managers, board members, staff and volunteers as well as consultants and capacity builders from across the United States attended, representing more than 500 nonprofits and non-profit supporters such as foundations. Since 2005, the TSNE NonProfit Center has offered one-time and ongoing educational programs to augment the professional development of New England’s non-profit staff, board members and volunteers. Additionally, TSNE works with tenants of the NonProfit Center and other partners to bring expert advice and information and the latest trends to local staff – often through peer learning. TSNE also occasionally provides onsite training that customized for the learning needs of a clients’ constituents/grantees. TSNE provides training and other learning opportunities so that nonprofits can better engage and support constituents and communities. We also strive to help individuals build their own knowledge to become better prepared to lead the sector and their communities. |
