Working to Make the World a Better Place

When you ask most people why they choose to work in the non-profit sector, they will tell you with a mixture of pride and appreciation that the organization for which they work strives daily to make the world a better place. Most non-profit professionals derive great personal satisfaction from trying to improve their community and the world community.

And while most nonprofits offer modest salaries and many require some evening and weekend hours, many have taken the lead in encouraging a healthy work-life balance. The issues and problems that non-profit organizations deal with are indeed challenging, but the tangible results of the services and programs they provide more than meet that challenge.
