Fiscal Sponsorship Services

Through our comprehensive fiscal sponsorship program, Third Sector New England offers a home for both unincorporated and incorporated groups, projects and coalitions working for social justice. These agents of change work on the pertinent issues of our day, including food security, alternative education, health access and criminal justice reform.

The size and complexity of these programs range from small, local projects with budgets of $100,000 and one or two staff to others that are national in scope with multiple sites, dozens of employees and multi-million dollar budgets.

Eligibility Criteria

With 50 years of experience, TSNE has found that several criteria are vital for a productive fiscal sponsorship relationship.

Restructure to Focus on Programs

Many people are imagining new ways to structure their nonprofit – without building the intensive infrastructure required to run a stand-alone nonprofit. Have you ever imagined being able to focus on mission and programs while your finances, governance, human resources, insurance needs and other increasingly complex compliance issues are efficiently managed by a trusted partner?

What Is Fiscal Sponsorship?

Fiscal sponsorship is a union between an unincorporated group or project and a 501(c)3 non-profit organization like Third Sector New England that extends to such groups or projects the benefits of tax-exempt status and administrative support.
