Resources for Non-profit Podcasting

Mic and headset for podcastingPodcasting, the word alone sounds both exotic and technical, and just thinking about the how-to’s of podcasting can make the average non-technical professional break out in a sweat. For some of us in the non-profit sector, there is the added skepticism about podcasting’s potential benefit to our work and constituents. For all we know, it could be just another overly-hyped Internet technology.

However, a number of nonprofits began experimenting with this communications tool a couple of years back and are already using it to raise awareness about issues, do skill-building and share information. Certainly, podcasting provides another way for your nonprofit to reach out to constituents who learn better through aural forms of communication rather than the more traditional (at least in the West) written style.

So if you are ready to add to your social change toolkit, consider trying your hand at this growing source of information sharing with new existing and new audiences.
