New at TSNE

Bottom Line: Workshops to Help Your Nonprofit Survive the Economic Crisis

These free workshops are focused on quick, easy to absorb - but essential - information for strengthening your organization to sustain itself through the economic crisis.

Third Sector New England launched a new Nonprofit Capacity Building training series, on Thursday, September 18, with a workshop on Mission, Vision and Planning.

A total of nine (9) workshops will be held monthly through June 2009 at the TSNE NonProfit Center, just one block from South Station, Boston’s public transportation hub.

Workshops cover a range of topics including fund development, financial literacy, effective supervision and governance. Our workshop trainers are leaders in their field and in the nonprofit sector, and include international fundraising expert Simone P. Joyaux, ACFRE, and communications specialist Rick Schwartz.

A Whole Systems Approach

Participants can enroll in one workshop or in multiple workshops. Each session is designed to strengthen participants’ management skills while providing field-tested tools and concepts to take back to the office for implementation. While incorporating new trends and approaches, the workshop series offer participants tried and true strategies for developing internal systems that help their nonprofit organization better meet its mission and serve its community.

Fees

The cost for each three and half (3.5) hour-long session is $79 (full-day Effective Supervision is $99). TSNE offers discounts of $10 off the price per workshop for each additional person attending from the same organization.

Making Connections Luncheon

Networks and connectivity are essential for building adaptive learning organizations. Participants will be offered the opportunity to meet each other, share ideas and make connections over lunch.
