Workshop Description: There is nothing more lonely or unproductive than a one-person development team. Oftentimes, development professionals are hired with expectations that they’ll handle all of the individual giving, grant writing and events planning as a solo entity. Or an executive director finds her/himself in a position of splitting time between organizational management and fundraising, never quite having enough time to dedicate to the latter.

Effective, results-based campaigns are those which fully engage all key stakeholders of a nonprofit. Clearly defined roles for board, staff and volunteers with accountability and ownership are crucial in both stewardship and donor solicitation. In this interactive workshop, you will develop a comprehensive plan to engage your key stakeholders in all areas of fundraising from cultivation to solicitation.

Presenter Bio: Kristi Scarpone, professional fundraiser and non-profit strategist, is currently overseeing a $16 million capital campaign. She believes that the success of any campaign relies on full engagement from all key stakeholders including staff, board and volunteers. She has raised more than $25 million by keeping donors and prospects highly engaged through unique and exciting programming.

Kristi has a master’s degree in education and teaches courses at the University of New Hampshire and New England College’s Masters in Nonprofit Management Program.
