Why Coaching?

Working with ClientLeading nonprofits from whatever position - executive director, program manager, board member, as a team - is complex. Individually it becomes harder and harder to see the whole of the organization in all of its dynamism or one’s own place and contribution within the system.

Training and leadership course work is great, and it has its limits. The best training, including ours at TSNE, is thought-provoking, good for awareness building and provides good networking opportunities. It shares many of the virtues of coaching. However, it is limited in that implementation back at home may be difficult as new learning gets lost amidst competing demands. Best intentions can suffer the fate of New Year’s resolutions.

 Coaching is a hands-on, practical way to discover the new edges of your leadership capabilities and to move towards those horizons with guidance and support in implementing change processes that achieve real results.

Coaching helps break down challenges into achievable outcomes in a meaningful way. It facilitates progress on management and leadership effectiveness in the context of real and important work.

Results You Care About

It gets results – for you and your organization. We focus on helping you to learn by asking you to lead the accomplishment of real performance results (not activities). Performance challenges are the pathway to learning, practicing and internalizing new leadership skills.

Your organization – and the mission you care about – is positively impacted as you:

  • gain insight;
  • strengthen skill; and
  • find the right style that best meets the needs of your team, your staff and board, and your organization in this place and time.
