Helping Volunteers Develop Programs with Impact

The economic downturn has created a "new normal" for nonprofits: learning to do more with less. Volunteers now play a more vital role than ever. How can you keep volunteers engaged, motivated and working effectively when their motivations for success can be very different from those of your employees?

Writing to Move to Action, Not to Impress

In his recent e-newsletter, Rick Schwartz, nonprofit communications expert, discussed Rudolf Flesch, the Flesch Kincaid Readability Test and recommendations for writing your nonprofit's materials "in plain English."

Nonprofit Leadership Series for Community Impact

The need for creative, inclusive, robust leadership has never been more urgent than it is in today's world - with revolutionary shifts in technology, the economy and our social networks.

That's why TSNE has created the Leadership Development project, a component of the successful Better Nonprofit Management Training Series. Beginning October 7, 2010 at the NonProfit Center, the program combines management workshops with a special series of meetings on leadership
with peers from across the region. Develop a network of peer support while deepening your understanding of leadership best practices – and strengthening your ability to lead for social change.

New TSNE Consulting Webpages

The Consulting Team has been busy revamping the entire consulting section of the TSNE website, featuring new coaching services.

As a result, Consultants Corner is taking a break this month, but starting to develop columns for the fall. What topics would you like to see? What questions would you like answered? Email your suggestions to info@tsne.org.
