Workshops

When do the workshops occur?

Our training series start in the early fall and runs through the early summer. Training session generally begin at 9:00 am. We offer full-day and half-day sessions depending on the topic. All of our full day session include lunch. Please note the specific times of the workshop(s) you have registered for.

Refunds

What is the refund policy?

Cancellations must be made via email at least 10 business days prior to the date of the workshop in order to receive a refund (less a $15 processing fee). Email trainings@tsne.org should you need to cancel your registration.

Where are your workshops located?

Unless otherwise noted, all workshops are held at TSNE MissionWorks' NonProfit Center, conveniently located in Downtown Boston at 89 South Street, Boston 02111, near public transportation. Are there ID requirements?

You will need valid identification to check in with security at the building's front desk.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, we will have a list of attendees when you arrive to the NonProfit Center.

COST

How much do your workshops cost?

All half-day (9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) workshops cost $100. All full-day workshops (9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with lunch included) cost $130. Some workshops cost $145, which includes a $15 fee for the cost of materials. Prices are different where marked.

Why are some workshops free?

When we offer a workshop with a trainer that is new to our roster, we provide a free training with them. This is a chance for us to pilot and improve the training before we officially offer workshops with that trainer/facilitator.

How can I get a discount?

Discounts are offered to:

  • Our training partners. These are organizations or association that provide promotional support for our events to their members and affiliates.
  • Staff at nonprofit organizations with budgets under $500,000. You are eligible for discounted rates ($70 for half-day workshops and $90 for full-day workshops). To inquire about these discounts, please email us with a copy of your most recent Form 990.
  • Students are eligible for discounted fees.

REGISTRATION

How can I register for your training opportunities?

Everything can be registered through our website.

Can I register other attendees for a training?

You can register up to 5 colleagues or employees from one organization for each training. However, we ask for important demographic information and dietary restrictions from each attendee. Please make sure each attendee fills out this info prior to the training.

What is the maximum number of attendees from our organization that can attend a training?

We limit groups and organizations to 5 seats per workshop. If you would like to have more people take one of our workshops, email trainings@tsne.org to learn about customized training offerings.

EVENT MATERIALS AND CURRICULUM

Will I receive copies of the materials presented at each training?

Yes, we will email you copies of presentation materials that are made available at the discretion of the trainer.

Are training events livestreamed or recorded for later viewing?

Currently, we only livestream portions of particular workshops that will be a valuable learning opportunity to a wider audience. Because our sessions are half-day or full-day and require participation from the groups, we do not record each event in full. Our livestream segments are roughly 15-20 minutes.

Do you offer site-specific or on-site training?

All Better Nonprofit Management workshops take place at the NonProfit Center unless otherwise noted.

We offer customized and on-site training for interested organizations on specific topics. Use our inquiry form to ask about customized, on-site training.

Do you offer certificates of completion?

Yes, participants can receive a certificate of completion upon request. Please email us at trainings@tsne.org and allow 2-3 business days to process your request.

SURVEYS

TSNE MissionWorks strives to be a learning organization. After each training, we will send you a survey asking for your insights and feedback on the session. In addition, we will also send you a survey 6-months after your training to help us assess if the skills you acquired were useful in your work. We use this information to evaluate the quality of our training, adjust curriculum to make it more useful and interactive and provide you with an outstanding learning experience.
