The Worcester Regional Food Hub’s mission is to increase local food access and consumption and recruit, retain, and incubate local food entrepreneurs, collectively building healthy, sustainable, and just communities. This work is done in collaboration with the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce and generously supported by The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts.
The Food Hub accomplishes this through two programs:
Marketing & Distribution: The Food Hub works to get local food into the hands of the people that need it the most, by forming relationships with local farmers and distributing their food to schools, universities, health care facilities, markets, and restaurants.
Food Business Development: The Worcester Regional Food Hub provides a variety of services for start-up and existing food entrepreneurs, including food safety training, business planning, assistance through the certification process, and hourly kitchen rentals.
